Where To Begin

 I believe that health is achieved not only through one modality, but by treating the whole person.  Finding ways to support the health of the body, mind, and spirit that honors our innate connection to Nature is my passion.  We are all beautifully unique - this is a wonderful thing, but it can also create challenges when searching for answers.


There is a dizzying amount of conflicting information out there and it is easy (almost inevitable, in fact) to feel overwhelmed.  Who is right?  Who should I trust? We need to stop expecting one answer to apply to every person.  The Functional Approach treats each person as N=1.  Of course, this feels contrary to what we have been taught about the scientific method, where we only value results as verifiable when it can be duplicated and repeated.  However, there is no other person with your exact history, genetic make up, habits, lifestyle, environment.  Functional medicine requires us to ask, "Who is this person with their unique set of circumstances?" rather than "What is this disease?"


That is the first step in reclaiming your health.  Blazing your own trail can be rather intimidating and it can be difficult even to know where to start.  Having a trained professional to guide you in creating your healing environment makes the road a lot less bumpy.  My training allows me to assess why certain strategies may or may not be beneficial to your body, as I am always studying what is happening upstream from your symptoms, tracing to the root cause.   

The next is uncovering hidden patterns that may be sabotaging your efforts.  Most of us have these patterns of behavior and unfortunately they are so hard-wired they are essentially automatic:  it is impossible to change through mere will power alone.  

My education has equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention. Drawing on my expertise, I work with my clients to help make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, balance, health, and happiness.

Each session will leave you feeling inspired and motivated. We will talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life such as love and relationships as well as career and money. I will personally and carefully guide you to make simple, small changes that transform your life.

There is no 'disease' in the body, only dis-ease.
